Pigmentation problems? We can help.
The Process
Your visit to The Hadleigh Clinic
- Your initial visit to The Hadleigh Clinic begins with a FREE, no obligation consultation.
- On arrival at the clinic you will be asked to complete a confidential patient registration/medical records form.
- Your free consultation appointment typically lasts for around 30 minutes.
- For injectable procedures (e.g. anti-wrinkles treatments) and surgical procedures, your consultation and treatment will be carried out by our Specialist Cosmetic Doctor.
- For laser, dermaroller and skin care, your consultation and treatment will be carried out by one of our Specialist Aesthetic Nurses.
At The Hadleigh Clinic we can assure you that you are in safe hands. You will only be seen by suitably qualified medical professionals with a vast experience in medical aesthetic treatments. We do not believe in sales representatives at any of our clinics.
Your Consultation
- Your consultation will begin by listening to and understanding your concerns and requirements and discussing how best we can meet and exceed your expectations.
- We will clearly outline the various treatment options available, together with the benefits and any potential risks of each treatment.
- Any questions you have about the process or treatment will be answered honestly so together we decide on the most appropriate treatment for you.
- Any necessary pre and post treatment care will also be explained in detail.
- There is no obligation to book a treatment with us after your consultation as the consultation is entirely complimentary.
- If however, you do wish to book a treatment this can be done for you after your consultation or at a later date via phone or e-mail.
Your Treatment
- Prior to your treatment you will be provided with a detailed consent form which you will be asked to read and sign
- You will also have the opportunity to ask any other questions you have regarding the treatment
- You should arrive at the clinic without make up or moisturiser on.
Aftercare Advice for Dermamelan
- The Dermamelan cream mask applied in the clinic is a yellow/brown colour. You will leave the clinic with this cream on so a suitable mode of transport home should be organised in advance, public transport is not advisable
- The cream mask will be on your face for 8-12 hours, therefore we advise that you have your treatment carried out in the morning as you cannot sleep with this cream mask on your face
- Whilst the Dermamelan mask is on do not expose your face to direct heat e.g. take care when opening hot ovens, do not sit in a hot bath or blow dry your hair whilst wearing the mask
- After the specified time any residual cream should be removed with cotton wool and then any remaining cream rinsed with cold water
- Your face may be red after removal of the mask. The moisturizer provided by the clinic can be applied
- Your face may feel tight and be red or slightly darker in colour in the first few days and then it may start to flake or peel. Continue applying the moisturiser as required
- Any flaky skin can be removed by very lightly rubbing the face after washing with a soft towel. Do not pick the skin
- When any flaking or peeling has mostly settled (days 5-7) begin applying Dermamelan home cream.
- 1st month: 3 applications. Morning/Noon/Night
- 2nd and 3rd Month: 2 applications. Morning/Night
- 4th to 7th Month: 1 application. Night
- If the skin becomes too red or sore during the treatment you may need to reduce the number of applications of Dermamelan. The skin may appear dry and flaky whilst using Dermamelan until tolerance builds up. moisturise as necessary
- Continue with Dermamelan until results are achieved. The time in which this happens depends on the frequency of use of Dermamelan.
- Sunscreen should be used daily during and after your treatment. It is best to avoid sun exposure as much as possible to avoid any stimulus that may cause the pigmentation to return.
